Episode 6 - For the Love of a Dungeon and a Dragon
Show Notes:
Welcome back for Episode 6! Today I want to explore one of my personal favorite hobbies: Dungeons and Dragons.
In Part 1, we’ll talk about the origins and history of Dungeons and Dragons from its meek beginnings in 1972, to the Satanic Panic of the 1980’s and 90’s, and to its recent resurgence and acceptance into mainstream culture through the proliferation of online media and ways to play.
In Part 2, I will give some background of how I originally got started with the hobby and my current play. I’ll include some reasons why I think it’s a great thing to try and feedback I’ve received from those I play with. We'll finish with some easy ways to get started on your own adventures.
Next week, I will be joined by @TreasuresAroundUs, Author, YouTuber, and Podcaster as we go live on InstagramTV to talk about mental health and how being happy and weird keeps us sane. That episode will be happening live on Wednesday September 15th on InstagramTV instead of a recorded episode so please come out and join us!
